When You want to do a Marathon

We think about fitness.

But really, it’s technique.

For 99.9% of those who will toe the start line, the first step is to inquire into the question of “how can I run more efficiently?”

The marathon is 42.2km, and each foot will strike the ground maybe 20,000 times.

Whenever we have this many repetitions of an activity, it is important to make sure we are doing it in a way that:

a) Is efficient as possible (faster)

b) Isn’t causing harm (longevity and sustainability)

Of course, the marathon is one example. But there are many metaphorical marathons.

The longer the task and the more we repeat a similar step, the more important it is to make sure we’ve done our homework on how to go about it.
